I designed the Skiron for flying in higher winds. Today was such a day!
The winds were supposed to be perfect for my medium sized Rokkaku to lift the KAP-rig today. So I went to the beach with a plan of shooting some great photos!
Everything was ready to go, the kite, the rig, the video camera … but I’d forgotten the memory card for the camera at home. Had to go for Plan B.
I did the first shots using my phone. Then I suddenly realised that my video camera was in the car!
There is not much more satisfactory than to see the kite you just build fly like you hoped.
Bitten by the kite building bug, and wanting another kite for my KAP-Rig, I decided to build a large Rokkaku. A decent Sunday project!
For some reason I got this idea. Before attaching the flying lines, will the kite glide?
On the way to the grocery store, I happen to go past one of the local beaches. Today I made a quick stop for some flying before shopping!
Anders M spotted it immediately; an unsymmetrical bridle! So today I did a few tweaks and control measures and got things right!
