I was hoping to log some more time on the Stalker today and yes, I did! My main objective was to try to learn more about flying using the different following modes and hopefully get a few ideas on how to use the modes for shooting cool kite flying scenes.
I also wanted to practice more flying in the Scenery Mode and above all, learn how to adjust the camera angle from zero (camera pointing horizontally) to ninety (camera pointing straight down) degrees. Nailed it!
I did some test flying in Circle mode at different heights and different distances (from myself). I also managed to circle the drone around while moving forward. Now that’s pretty neat!
Having the drone in Circle mode flying slowly around me I think would make for some really, really cool shots of myself flying a quad kite (on short lines)!
So tomorrow – if the conditions allow – I’m heading out to a beach exposed for the forecasted wind condition hoping to shoot some really cool kite flying footage using the Staaker.
…and while both you and I are waiting for tomorrow, why not take a look at the video from today?!
