So yesterday I brought my photo bag to the stable and after doing the necessary ‘horsing around’ I walked down to the riding arena to test it out. The riding arena lets in some daylight and in addition, there is flood light up there so light conditions should be ok, or at least that was what I was hoping for.
The Hover’s user guide clearly states that the vision positioning system may fail if the ground texture is unclear. This includes large areas of pure color ground such as sand or snow, water surface or transparent area, strong reflection areas, areas with drastically changing light condition, moving objects below Hover Camera X1, etc. How will this work when the ground …floor… of the riding arena is sand? Now that was exactly what I would like to find out!
So eager to find out, I pulled the Hover out of the bag and started to fly….
