But you know, a bad day kiting is always much better than a good day at the office, so no complaints from my side!
But i must admit, It was really cold and I definitely should have brought an extra pair of windproof pants. I’ll make sure to remember that the next time I’m up to similar conditions.
The flying was good. A serious breeze came in from the north bringing cold temperatures. I had several kites in my bag and opted for my green Peter Lynn Pilot kite as the lifter of my KAP gear.
Soon it was sitting pretty stable up there and with frozen fingers I finally fixed the rig to the flying line. Up it all went and I could use the screen of my phone to see what the camera was capturing.
The weather forecast was unfortunately not quite up to it. It was supposed to be sunny all day long, but a thin layer of clouds covered the sky most of the time. Not allowing for much sunshine. That was a pity, because with the low hanging November sun you’ll have that golden hour the whole day long.
But despite the lack of sun, I did get a good pile of useful footage and below you can take a look at the final cut!
