You know I was playing around with Google Maps and I found this interesting place to fly kites Cold Saltholmen, a tiny peninsula just 30 minutes away by car judging by the satellite images over there on the Google Maps, this place seemed to be exposed to wind from almost and Direction. Probably a really good place for tight flying. So my mission for the day was to go there and see if that really was the case, and I definitely was not let down. An absolutely perfect place for any kind of kite flying, at least the variations of kite flying I’m doing!
Originally my plan was to do some kite aerial videography, but the wind was a little on the light side so I changed my mind. I left the kite aerial videography gear in its bag and opted for flying the Rokkakus only. The wind was coming really steady in from the south and it was around 3 maybe 3 and 1/2 m per second and as smooth as glass.
I guess I spent about three-and-a-half hours out there on that Peninsula flying kites shooting video and generally having a really good time!

You know, It’s another one of my kite stories hope you like it!
