My original plan was once again to do some Kite Aerial Videography but when I got to the beach the wind was too light for any of my lifter kites to lift anything, so I opted for some light wind quad kite flying instead
This ‘new’ Rev kite of mine was definitely up to the task of being super flyable in these conditions and I had a wonderful time playing with it while the sun slowly sank towards the horizon. Ahhhh!
But then I felt the general pressure in the sail kind of increase. Was the wind picking up? Yes,I think it was so I decided to try to do some KAV after all. So I put the quad down and launched the Peter Lynn lifter kite. No problems flying it but would it be sufficient to lift all the gear?
I did try to get all the stuff up there but no, it wasn’t wind enough to keep it up there. Too light winds for flying the gimbal. So I removed the gimbal and fixed the GoPro onto the rig only and things looked better.
However, i had to walk slowly upwind to keep enough power in the kite to keep the camera in the air. I did get some decent footage tho thanks to the Hypersmooth feature of the GoPro.
And here it is!
