How old are you? Yeah, I get that question every now and then. Well, age is just a number I often reply. Even though sometimes I don’t feel like it.
This kite, however, well worn and in all kinds of conditions. With the unavailable pieces of tape here and there patching a handful of holes. With a couple of bridle legs replaced to wear. With Icarex soft as a baby’s a**. I’ve even added some extra vents for flying in even higher winds. And wow! This kite is still killing it! ?
As you can see, I’ve added two more vents compared to the original. To cater for high winds. It wasn’t too bad today, I’d say 6-8ms (13-18mph) so in the kite’s lower wind range. And coming in from the sea, smooth like glass, and really, really fun to fly.
I started with some chill funky music in my ears, but after just a few minutes, my headset ran out of power. No worries though. I had my boom blaster in my rucksack, so after another couple of minutes, I had music to my ears again.
