Did we see a single cloud during the week? No, I don’t think so. The sun shone from morning till night, and with temperatures well over 20 degrees every day, we stayed warm on the beach.
Sure, we had the worst possible wind direction, offshore wind from the east, but as we like to say… JUST FLY!
We spent the first few days at Saltum Beach, a few kilometers north of Blokhus. The beach is much wider there, and we have better conditions—especially with offshore wind—to practice our new routine. We needed it!
From Thursday onwards, we flew on the beach in Blokhus and entertained with team flying at the Blokhus Wind Festival during the weekend. With highly variable wind conditions on Saturday and very light, but fortunately onshore wind, on Sunday, we managed to perform a lot of nice team flying to the delight of both the audience and ourselves on the beach.
Now we are all back home, a fantastic kite week in wonderful surroundings is history. But don’t be sad it’s over, be happy it happened.
