I woke up quite early today, walked downstairs and let the dogs out. Made myself a cup or two of coffee and enjoyed an hour or so on the terrace watching the wind increasing. What the heck I thought. Let’s hit the beach for an hour or so flying. It’s summer vacation goddammit!
So I grabbed the To-Go Quadline bag and headed for the beach. It was mostly overcast but with a glimpse or two of the blue sky above the clouds. That’s good because it means the beach downtown is not crowded. Actually, there was no one there when I arrived. Goodie! Plenty of space for flying!
The wind was coming in from the sea and was somewhere in the middle of Semi vented and Hardcore. So I assembled both of them and started out flying the Semi vented. Nice! Perfect wind for that kite.
After some flying, the wind picked up a little and it was time to pull the Hardcore out of its bag. Even though the wind was very much down into the Hardcore’s lower range it was no problem to fly, and it was as smooth as ever.
A pretty decent start to the Summer Vacation!
