The planning started on Friday afternoon when I did a quick check of the weather forecast. Wow! It looked promising indeed. Sunny all day long and a west by south west breeze at 5-7m/sec (11-15mph). Now that would be perfect conditions for spending a few hours on the beach doing some kite aerial videography!
So I went over my KAP gear just checking everything was up to par, charged the GoPro batteries and set my alarm clock to “reasonably early in the morning”.
I woke before the alarm went off, got up and dressed, had myself a cup of coffee and a bite and soon I hit the road heading for the beach at Teibern and Lille Danmark (Little Denmark). The weather was exactly like forecasted. A tad on the chilly side but I was dressed for the occasion.
Then I got to the beach and found myself a nice place sheltered from the wind to put up my HQ. It didn’t take long until I had my kite up flying lifting the KAP-rig and the GoPro. Conditions were perfect for KAP’ing … or KAV’ing to be more correct so both the kite and the camera sat stably up there.
Finally I ended up with almost one hour of footage, and after some work at editing, the (first) video ended up like this!
