So why not go fly a kite?!

…and so I did! Leaving work at quarter past three in the afternoon and after a quick pit stop at home to pick up a tripod – the kites were already in the car – I headed on down to the beach almost in the middle of town.

The wind was onshore and on the light side and I was not quite sure what kite to choose, the A-Quad Standard or the A-Quad Semi Vented. After some considering, I opted for the Semi Vented, despite the winds being in its really lower wind range.

But I was in for some axelmania and that semi vented version is a freaking axel machine. So hopefully, with a little work from my side, the semi vented kite would be up to the task!

While I was flying the sun continued its journey towards the horizon and while it sank lower it painted the world in that magic golden flare. If you’re into photography, I bet you have heard of the Golden Hour, the hour before sunset or the hour after sunrise. The perfect time to shoot photos and footage. The sun will colour everything with its golden brush and draw the shadows tall. The light is magic and I hope that I managed to catch a little of that magic in the video below!
