The strong wind came rolling over the undulating fields and those geographical circumstances made the wind go bananas. From almost dead calm and within a split second gusts up into the 10 m/sec mark.
Not at all conditions for the A Quad, so outta the bag, something pretty vented!
I felt for green so green it was … and vented too! The ventilation makes the kite fly in higher winds and – at least to some extent – smoothen the gusts. One drawback though, when the wind gets really light, it’s hard to keep bit in the air.
…and the conditions really was demanding. A bad mix of heavy gusts and close to no wind conditions and I really had to work to fly the kite. Bracing myself when gusting and working my butt off when the wind dropped to the floor. But it was kind of fun too. I accepted the challenge and I was determined to keep that green icky thing flying and learn from the experience living up to the slogan “Just Fly!”
…and after some time I got kind of hang of it. Trying to take the piff out of the gusts and compensating for the lack of wind when it dropped. Slowly but surely I was able to to some quality flying despite the challenging conditions.
Anyway….
The photos looks great!
