Freestylin’ the Eclipse

When was it…? 1995? Anyway, in the 90’ies, Prism Kites brought their Eclipse to the market. Now old school, but WOW, this kite rocks!

I was going through some of my earlier videos on the AERIALIS Kites’ YouTube channel the other day, and then I came over this Freestyling the Eclipse video of mine.

I remember it like it was yesterday. I was shooting footage for my Stunt Kite Classic video series and in addition to the pre-defined tricks I did a bunch of freestyle flying too. Because everything just clicked!

In that late afternoon light winds the Eclipse really shone out there at the end of the flying lines. All the old school tricks were there and when I took a stab at the more modern ones, hey, the Eclipse delivered in that department too!

It was doing backspins like crazy, Jacob’s ladders and roll ups. Wow, I didn’t expect that from a 25 years old kite!

And for those of you into classic stunt kites, here’s the video I’m talking about!
