So in due time ahead of the Nordic Kite Meeting, we go through the weather forecast for the Blokhus area in detail. You know, what kind of weather conditions we’re about to face during the week.
The closer we get to the departure the more trustworthy the forecast will become, and for some reason, it’s almost never any rain expected!
Windy, yes, and temperatures ranging from a really chilly +10° to a baking hot +30° and anything in between. This year was no exception. The meteorologists forecasted some rain during the early hours on Tuesday, but sunny and kind of windy for the rest of the week.
They were right. As we drove across the upper north of Jutland it started to rain, and with that rain, we cancelled our ‘expedition’ to Råbjerg Mile. A few hours of sleep was more tempting and when we woke up again, the rain had stopped and a few spots of blue appeared in the sky.
The rain stayed away for the rest of the week, leaving us plenty of sunshine and wind to play with. Here’s a little video from our beach life at the 25th Nordic Kite Meeting!
