Then I got this idea! Why not give it a shot? Is should be enough space for flying the Feather on a pair of short (3m/10ft) lines. …or…?
So I stopped and assembled the Feather once again and hooked it up to the lines again. I leaned the kite up against a pine and unwinded the lines. Then I went over to the other side of the little spot and set up the GoPro, connected it to my phone and tapped the REC-button…..
This was BIG FUN!
I’ve never done anything like this with a dual lined kite … ever! I’ve flown in the woods in between the trees with quad lined kites a few times before, but like said, this was my first with a duallie.
…and of course, flying in a location like this, surely adds a couple of challenges to the flying. Tree trunks and branches all over the place make for interesting parameters which have to be considered while flying. Yes, I hit a branch a couple of times, but no kites were injured during the session.
Lots of things to be aware of whilst creating the wind required. But like said, big fun and quite a workout! Gotta do it again some day! 🙂
