So after completing my stable duties and all the horses eating their evening hay, I grabbed my Zaephay and the camera bag and walked down to the riding arena. Outside it was pitch black but inside the flood lights enlightened my flying spot nicely.
Hopefully, the flood lights up in the ceiling would provide enough light for the Hover Air X1 to both fly and shoot reasonably decent quality footage.
But before I started to film, I warmed up for some ten minutes or so. You know, to get my body going and get a feel for the kite. Soon I was in the mood and it was time for turning on the cameras. First I used my phone (on a tripod) and then I fired up the Hover Air X1!
Yes! It worked! I put it in hover mode – so that the Hover Air X1 is sitting stationary in the air while rotating to follow me with its camera. Ut worked like a charm. I also tried to manually fly the Hover Air X1 as high as it would go, tit the camera straight down, but that was no success. I kept flying the kite out of frame all the time.
The footage captured in orbit mode however, looked really interesting and worked perfectly intill I crashed my kite into the Hover Air X1 and sent it crashing to the ground!
Anyway, ’nuff said! Here’s the video!
