I was at the Teibern beach by the tiny island of Little Denmark doing some KAV. When I launched the first kite it was nice and sunny. But unfortunately the first kite wasn’t quite up to the lifting task today.
The wind was a little “disturbed” by that island out there and wasn’t quite strong enough for the kite to lift the KAP-gear. And by the time I had another lifter kite ready – my large, orange Rokkaku – the clouds had drifted in from the fjord and completely changed the light conditions.
However, despite being overcast I decided to go on filming and I managed to shoot quite a bit of useful footage. ?
I was really satisfied with one of the shots specifically. For this shot I pointed the camera straight down and walked along the beach while filming. I guess the camera was about ten to twelve meters off the ground.
When I got to the end of the beach I let out quite a bit of more line and the camera rose to about 25-30 meters off the ground while I was slowly walking back in the other direction.
The Rokkaku surely is a great lifter kite and at the current conditions it was like glued to the sky. This in addition to the gimbal makes for really smooth footage and if you take a closer look at the video below, I guess you’ll spot the first colours of the autumn too!

Oh gracious, that was so, so beautiful. Your composition is perfect. Love the music.
Thank you so much! ☺️
… actually I’m pretty satisfied with that one myself. ?
