So with a kite bag over my shoulder and a rucksack stuffed with lines, stakes, camera equipment and a bag of spare parts and nit-bits, I started the walk from the parking down to the beach. High up in the treetops I could see the branches moving in the wind. But down at ground level, there was no wind at all here in the woods.
I got to the beach and now the wind was present on ground level too. And what a wind it was! Coming head-on onto the beach and in from the open sea, with nothing to disturb it! And sooo smooooth! Just like on the very best of days at the Jutlandic coast. Silky smooth!
I didn’t take any measures, but I guess the wind clocked in at about 5ms give or take (18mph), and like said, really, really stable! And that’s of course a good thing when it comes to flying!
I started flying down on the beach. As you can see from the photos above, I went for the A-Quad Hardcore, perhaps my favourite QLK of all times! And when the wind is like it was today, well, no words that I know can describe how awesome it feels to fly!
So I put up my GoPro to capture some of the flying hopefully giving you a slight taste of the perfect flying! You can check it out down below!
