Today I woke up to a beautiful day. Cold but sunny and even some wind … that was supposed to die down during the day. So I made sure of grabbing a nice bunch of ULs and SULs before I headed for the beach.
When I arrived at the car park close to the beach I quickly understood I wasn’t quite by myself this time. I snuck my car into the only place left, put on my favourite orange jacket, grabbed my kites and walked the seven minutes walk down to the beach.
I was right. I wasn’t quite alone, but thankfully no problems keeping the social distance required. Many like me had decided to spend the Sunday outdoors enjoying the beautiful winter weather.
And the wind…? Well, no signs of it dying down quite yet, so the light wind kites stayed in the bag. The A-Quad Hardcore, however, was definitely up to it even with winds in the lower end of its wind range.
…and WOW! What a kite the A-Quad is! Even though the wind was in the Hardcore’s lower range, it flies oh so fine! Killing most of the gusts and surely makes for a super smooth feeling in the air.
Despite being heavily vented, it’s got that crisp feeling in the air and when you tweak the bridle somewhat, it will stop on a dime! Speed control is awesome. Just check out at about 02:14 into the video below. No, it’s not in slow motion, it’s real-time! …and it flies sooooo slooooow!
Forwards or reverse, it doesn’t really matter and the axels….! WOW! Say no more!
