Looking at the weather forecast for the next six, seven days is a tragic experience. Rain, rain, rain, rain …and … more rain. Off course you can fly in the rain too, but when the mercury is dropping close to freezing and the wind is more or less absent, I rather stay inside and blog! 😉
Thankfully I had a few hours on the field on Saturday and managed to put in quite a bit of quality flying. The winds were on the light side, but that only will add to the fun.
In the evening – on my way back from the stable – I stopped for half an hour or so and flew my A-Quaf into the sunset. And it was just about perfect, the setting sun, the clouds up above, the water and the sand came together and made the most beautiful light you can imagine!
I put my phone on the tripod and shot some footage and when I got back home I found that I’d really caught that special light on film! Just a tiny increase of the brightness and it ended up like this…

It looks like you have a lovely time. You start to be very good. Short line is so much fun.
Yeah, I had a great time. Especially considering the downpour outside right now! 🙂
…and thank you for your compliment. Thankfully I have been able to find quite some time for flying the last year actually. I always carry a bag of kites in my car and flying on short lines opens up so many more flying locations! 🙂 Like you say…. Short lines are so much fun!
