Kites
Now I guess you’re pretty eager to find out which kite we did include in the test of ours. OK, here we go!
- T2 Evo Zero
- T2 Evo Comp
- Pro Reactor
- Matrix UL
- Masque
- Nirvana (3-point static bridle)
- Blackbird
- North Shore Radical
Eight commercially available (give or take) kites with slightly different personalities (can you use that expression about kites?) characteristics and features. All assembled and lying on the ground awaiting pilots! Can you ask for more?
Test Conditions
But before we reveal our test results I think it’s quite important that you know a little about the weather and the wind conditions we faced during the test. It’s no understatement to claim that most of the kites were flown in their low end of their wind range. (Except perhaps for the T2 Evo Zero and the Matrix UL). unfortunately, the meteorologists were correct with their wind forecast. The wind speed varied between 0,5 m/sec to 3 m/sec (or 1 – 7 mph, or 2 – 11 kph) and most of the time in the lower end of that range. The test might be somewhat “coloured” by this.
Luckily we were blessed with nice and sunny weather (after a very rainy period), so apart from the lowish winds, no other weather condition should have any significant impact on the results of the test.
The Test
OK, let’s get down to the juicy stuff. The test results! For each kite, you will find the name and manufacturer, a brief description, the test results and comments from the test pilots.
