It’s been a long and cold spring. As soon as one started to see things a little optimistically, the weather turned to colder and snow. You might say I was pretty goddamned tired of these chilly temperatures and the white and fluffy stuff coming down from the clouds.

But a handful of days ago things changed. The cold winds of the north turned to a more southerly direction and brought warmer temperatures. It went from winter to summer with a flick!

And in May, the days are starting to get really long and light up here in my neck of the woods, so at six in the evening I grabbed my kite bag, chucked it into my car and drove those twenty five or so minutes to this pretty peninsula of Saltholmen.

The weather was perfect. Sunny with a light and warm breeze coming in from the water. Who could ask for more? The very best of conditions both for flying and … just being out there!
