The day started out dark and dismal and I thought it was the first signs of the storm building up. But as time passed the wind died a little and the clouds gave way for the sun.
The kite bag and all the required stuff was still sitting in the back of my car so what better to do than hit the beach and fly some kites?
But when I got to the beach … the beach was … gone!
It seemed like the combination of low pressure and southern winds made for a super high tide swallowing the beach completely. I mean, I’ve been flying on this beach for many years but never in conditions like this.
Fun, though! And the lack of beach made for some really interesting pieces of landscape and cool footage, edited into a pretty cool kite flying video in the post processing!
