Yesterday was just like spring. The heavy rain and strong winds were gone and replaced by sunny weather and a gentle onshore breeze. No winter temperatures though with the mercury well into the red figures. In other words, perfect for flying!
Today my Plan A was to fly on longer lines, 30m/100ft and practice snappy corners all over the wind window. With the wind on the lighter side, this would also mean moving about on the ground to keep the sail under pressure.
Snappy corners make for geometrical figures in the air. You know, squares, rectangle, triangles, diamonds, steps up and steps down.
I also put in a handful of figures of eight and som large circles focusing on speed control and correct proportions. Not as easy as it sounds actually.
Off course I had my camera on the tripod recording quit a bit of the flying, and below you can watch five edited minutes of the practice!
