The day started in a gloomy way. When I left for work the low hanging clouds wrapped everything in a blanket of moist and the wind was absent. Not quite like forecasted.
The day went on and there wasn’t any change in the weather. Well, the wind was kind of on and off, but the clouds were still hanging low. Hmmm…. Not my favourite conditions for flying.
However, when it was time to leave work, things had changed. The wind has picked up, the clouds were breaking up giving way to the sun and things started to look much better! So with no time to waist, I jumped into my car and set sail for one of the local beaches tight in the centre of my hometown, Moss.
When I arrived at the beach the low cloud cover was completely gone and the sun was shining. All the snow and ice from last week was gone and there were definitely signs of spring!
The wind was coming in from the south by south-east and that makes it kind of variable. However, I started out with a vented, yellow quad that would be a good choice based on the current conditions. And should the wind drop a little, there were always more kites in the bag!
