I left work kind of early today and headed for the stables for some domestic duties; mocking the horse boxes and fill all buckets with fresh water. And when done I had the indoor riding arena all for myself!
I haven’t been flying indoor for years so I was afraid I was gonna be kind of rusty. But thankfully the HQ Feather was my choice of kite for today, and that kite is super easy to fly in zero wind conditions. Ok, the frame is somewhat fragile, but I’ve got a bag or two filled with spare rods so no worries.
Yes, I surely was rusty, but it didn’t take long until I’d shaken most of the rust off and really enjoyed the pleasure of flying a duallie in true no-wind conditions again. And it was all coming back to me. The fun of 3D flying. Up and Overs, 360’ies in both directions, suuuuper slow 540 flatspins, Helicopters from up above and into my hand, catches and throws and what have you!
Here’s a chunk of photos from the session!
…and a video!
