My Plan B worked out pretty well. Got up in the wee-hours and before you knew it, I was flying a kite!

Like I mentioned in my previous post, my Plan A was to get up really early, feed the horses and then hit the beach for some flying. Everything worked out according to plan!

So just at sunrise, I had the big Rok’ up in the air – super steady – and the KAP-rig hanging from the line with the GoPro action camera mounted ready to shoot some epic (?) video!

Like mentioned above, the Rok’ was flying super steadily, almost like pinned to the sky, just some small fluctuations reflecting the variations in wind speed. I had my mobile phone connected to the GoPro so I had a good vision of what was going to be captured on the memory card and up it went!

For the video below I had the GoPro camera pointing pretty much straight down, and this angle makes for some interesting footage! It’s kind of like a lunar landscape when you get to see this beach from up above!
