At home, I’d been working out this waypoint mission from this flying location using the Maven Fly app and hopefully capturing some really cool cinematic footage.
The location I’m talking about is quite a little gem for any kite flyer out there. Exposed to winds from most directions and some pretty decent scenery too.
The place I’m talking about is called Sjuskjær and it’s actually a kind of peninsula connected to the mainland by a long and narrow sandbank. Or, that’s when high tide. On Saturday it was low tide, really low, and the sandbank was far from narrow. But don’t be tempted to walk it. You’ll soon find yourself pretty deep in mud!
But when you cross over it and find yourself on that tiny peninsula, you’ll soon find that it’s a really nice place to fly kites!
Duallies or Quads on shorter lines and … Single lined kites! Nothing is like flying there late on a light Norwegian summer night with a light breeze coming in from the sea. You put up a handful of Rokkakus … or others … and just sit on a rock taking it all in! Now that’s AoxomoxoA for me!
So now the secret is revealed and here’s that place I’m talking about!
