Thankfully small holes in your sail are easy to repair. All you need is a roll of tape and som cyanoacrylat… or super glue as some like to call it.
Here’s how!
Houston is ready to fix! Go get a roll of tape and (a bottle of) cyanoacrylat.
Put your sail on the floor, table or another suitable surface and smoothen the sail and make sure the hole becomes “invisible”. Then carefully place a piece of tape over the puncture.
Turn your kite over and back onto the floor (taped side facing down). Carefully apply cyano acrylate on the sail and make sure to cover the hole completely!
Let dry for five minutes or so and put a new piece of tape on top of the cyano acrylate and turn the sail again. (Now the glued side of the sail should face down.)
Now peel off the (first) tape and apply cyanoacrylat on this side of the sail too and let dry for another five minutes.
When the cyanoacrylat is completely dry, peel off the tape and if done correctly, your sail should be almost as good as new!
…and the fix should be close to invisible!
