The parts I needed to mount the camera on my KAP-rig arrived the other day, and today the conditions were promising! So before leaving the house I put the rig together so it was ready to fly as soon as it hit the flying field, once again one of the local beaches.
I was very curious how the Hypersmooth technology would work to stabilize the video and according to the screen on my phone – connected to the GoPro camera by WiFi, it looked promising!
And when I got back home and inserted the memory card into my Chromebook it was all confirmed. The video was significantly more stable than my previous KAP shots! …or should I rather call it KAV, Kite Aerial Video?
Well, KAP or KAV, below you can see both an edited video and a few screenshots from today using the GoPro for shooting from up above.
Yes I know some of the shots tends to be a bit on the darker side, but as the sun slowly sunk to the horizon the rainclouds came in from the west making it rather dark. I guess I could have adjusted some settings, but I rather wanted to squeeze as much flying out of what was left of the daylight as possible!
