The day was coming to an end, but two hours before sunset I drove downtown to the local beach for some – hopefully – quality quad line flying. And yet again the conditions were perfect! A steady onshore breeze clocking in at about 5,5-6m/sec and nice temperature. What more could you ask for?
I assumed that a vented version was the right kite for the evening winds and pulled the emerald one out of the bag. I was on for a short line session so I hooked the kite up to a 10m set. Ready to go… or wait… Where’s the tripod?

All right. With the tripod and the mobile phone all set up the icky took to the air!

I’ve put in quite some hours flying the REVs lately, and I can surely feel it’s paying off. I feel more confident and have (much) better control of the kite now. Hovering is improving and so is the inverted hovering.
Flying is also more … crisp, and I can do more “stuff” with the kites. Especially hovering. I’ve practiced that a lot and I am improving. Feels pretty good! 🙂

Dipping the kite in the water is also fun … and dangerous! I’ve had several dips myself to rescue the kite, but today I didn’t have to!

I think I’ll let the pictures do the talking and I guess that you can see I had a great couple of hours counting down to the Danish Quad Clinic less than three weeks away!
