Just like today! Sunny with that perfect wind all day and with a “permission to fly” I headed for one of the local beaches on my way home.
When I got closer I got a feeling that the wind was about to die down. Hmmmmm…. This didn’t look too good, but hopefully there would be a nice draft coming in from the sea.
However, when I walked out on the sandy beach there was no wind whatsoever.
I decided to give it a go anyway, assembled the kite and attached the kite to the flying lines.
But no… This wasn’t the day. Yeah, I know that you can fly in absolutely dead calm conditions, but with such a limited flying area offered by the tiny beach, I decided to call it a day. But before I left, I shot a few, cool pictures though! 👍

Perhaps catches and throws practice would have been possible on that beach (if that is something you work on)? I know that this kite glides very well. What I don’t know is why. Is it in the frame/sail or is it in the bridle? My Revolution Indoor glides like a horizontal guillotine and hasn’t got any bridle (this also being the cause?) – just four pigtails attached to the nocks of the downspars.

The sensible thing to do is to say ”I decided to go home instead” (and say nothing about the weather and zero wind) – Who knows, more ”permissions” may then appear.

Yeah, but the space was too limited for my liking. …and some sticks and stones to stumble over as well.
But you’re right about how that kite glides. Almost like a paper plane in the air. You’ll need to be careful when popping it out of the air. Just a tad to hard and it will overglide (is that a proper word?) you by meters!
