And honestly… excitement levels are getting dangerously high.
For many of us, this is the highlight of the entire kite season: one full week on the beautiful beaches of Saltum and Blokhus along the stunning west coast of Northern Jutland. A week where everyday life is replaced by wind, sand, sky, and kites.
A whole week of kite flying from morning until sunset.
A whole week of meeting good friends you rarely get to see often enough.
A whole week of laughter, beach life, and endless conversations about kites, wind, gear, and “just one more flight.”
And let’s not forget the food and drinks shared after long days on the beach — those evenings are just as important as the flying itself.
There is something special about the Danish west coast this time of year. The wide beaches, the sound of the North Sea, the dunes, the salty air, and dozens of colorful kites dancing across the sky create an atmosphere that is difficult to explain to anyone who has never experienced it.
For many of us, this week is more than just a kite event.
It is a chance to recharge the batteries.
A reset button.
A reminder of why we fell in love with kite flying in the first place.
And the best part?
The weather forecast is actually looking promising too!

So now comes the final preparations: packing gear, checking lines, charging cameras, loading cars, and making sure absolutely nothing important gets left behind at home… hopefully.
Very soon the beaches of Saltum and Blokhus will once again be filled with colorful kites, smiling faces, and the unmistakable feeling that for one glorious week, life is exactly as it should be.
See you on the beach!
