When I got to the beach, the sun was shining, but there were dark clouds scattered all around up there, dark clouds with rain inside of them.

The wind was light and almost perfect for one of my light wind kites, a Windvale, which I’d made myself. It has a slightly special bridle that makes it fly a bit differently than with a more, well, what should we call it, standard setup. But when you get the body and input of the kite adjusted just right, it gives back a lot of fun.

But the wind must be of the light kind – like today!

So with rain showers in the area, but with the sun peeking out on the beach, it was just a matter of starting to fly.
