The weather was absolutely gorgeous from early in the morning and when I arrived at the beach the sun was shining and a steady breeze came in from the water. Great conditions for kite flying.
I’d brought my KAP gear and was ready for another October KAP session and soon I had the 2.4 Power Sled up there. Then I fixed the picavet ad the gimbal to the flying line and then … someone turned off the wind. I mean, completely!
Thankfully, I managed to avoid both the kite and the KAP rig crash landing in the water so no harme done. But flying any of the kites I’d brought was out of the question.
So I sat down, had a cup of coffee and decided to wait for some time. Maybe the wind would pick up again.
And guess what… It did!
So I put up a large Rokkaku on a light line, got the KAP gear in place and started the fun. The wind picked up a little more and made for great KAP conditions.
…and the longer I kept on flying the more the wind picked up and I decided to bring everything down before anything snapped. Made it!
