I was out flying my A-Quad Semivented in pretty decent wind a couple of days ago and amongst other things I was doing quite a bit of backflips. You know, trying to keep them lasting for some seconds, tending them and then recovery.
Then I got this idea….. Is it possible to squeeze out a rotation or two while the kite sits in that backflipped position?
So I got going but my success rate was’t exactly sky rocketing! 😉 I was trying to get the kite to rotate in many different ways, but that was really difficult.
Then i took another approach. Why not try to do the rotations like I would do the Insane using a dual lined kite?! Not popping the lines like for a Multilazy but rather keep one set of lines tight and giving slack to the other while slowly moving backwards.
Now something happened. I managed to do a couple of rotations on two occasions and even got one of them on video!
This one doesn’t look so pretty, I know, but at least it is a start and definitely something to explore a little deeper,
So….
Stay tuned! To be continued!
