The Nordic Kite Meting is coming closer and in this post I’ll talk about some of the preparations we do. But wait, there is more!
The routine Anders has created for this year’s meeting, we can fly with both quads and duallies. That’s pretty cool! And a crucial success factor for this routine is that we all nail the two point landings!
Quad landings are easy peasy, but switching over to dual lined kites will raise the difficulty. You know, forcefully whack those two wingtips into the ground simultaneously is no walk in the park. Especially when the wind picks up.
But as you know, practice makes you better at least, so today I hit the field with a mission in mind: Doing at least 50 two point landings with one of my Nirvanas!
Arriving at the beach the conditions were absolutely fantastic. A super steady breeze, averaging about 3 meters per second is spot on for the Nirvana UL. No hesitation, one kite only out of the bag, one of my yellow ultralight Nirvanas!
Somewhat limited on space but more than enough for flying on 25 meter lines and up she went!
Yes, I managed 50+ landings and a significant number of them were pretty darn good!
