So let’s turn the clock back some 24 hours, give or take, and re-live the glorious spring day of yesterday. The sun shone from a clear blue sky with occasional white and fluffy clouds up there.
Yes, there was wind too, albeit pretty light. But coming in from the water, undisturbed, and equipped with a couple of (really) light wind kites, I was gonna do some quality flying. Even though my Plan A for the day was to do kite aerial photography.
However, Plan B, was not bad at all, and when I walked down from the parking to the beach it was obvious the wind was far from strong enough for any kites of mine lifting and keeping the KAP rig in the air. No, light wind flying was the only way.
So after a sip or three of nice and hot coffee, I pulled the Zaephay, yeah, once again, out of the bag. Assembled it and hooked it up to my 10 meters flying lines. Ready to fly!
And that Zaephay really delivers BIG TIME when the wind is almost absent. It’s so smooth out there at the other end of my lines. I really love the way it flies and me just having to guide it up there in the air.
The Zaephay can also do the most fabulous glides! Even the spiral glide I’m talking about in this post. Yesterday was no exception. Super long glides, feeling like they last forever.
So lets take a closer look at yesterday in the video below!
