But it wasn’t supposed to be like that, the weather! Nope, much more wind and overcast was forecasted, but somewhere on the way, something went wrong. So when I arrived at the beach the sun was shining from a clear blue sky and just a very light whisper of wind was coming in from the water.
Perfect conditions for my light wind Zaephay!
So rather than pulling a vented kite out of the bag, I ended up with a Zaephay at the other end of my lines. And the choice of kite was spot on! The Zaephay is flyable in zero wind too, and that light draft really made the kite shine. It doesn’t take much effort to keep it in the air in today’s low wind conditions while still being agile and crisp.
And the glides…..! WOW! They’re just awesome! Put the kite on its belly and just see what happens! The most breathtaking glides. And it doesn’t just glide downwind. No, it does 360° spiralling glides on its belly. Just a quick setup and make sure the lines stay slack allowing the glide and the fun begins! Follow the kite and catch it with your hand or do a full 360 or more and keep on flying!
Awesome! Just check it out in the video below!
