Flying on a beach often means smooth winds. You know, facing the water and the wind is onshore you’re normally in for some really good and stable winds.
Yesterday however, the wind was coming more or less along the beach and subsequently rolling over a small height a few hundred metres away. Now this will certainly have a significant impact on the wind!
Let’s get it straight. The wind wasn’t too bad, but some times kind of bumpy and with variable speed. Flyable? Yes, no worries. Flyable indeed! But with some work required from the person in charge; me!
Once again I must admit being pleasantly surprised by the green triple vented quad kite of mine. Despite the somewhat bumpy and variable wind, this kite surely gets the business done, taking out the worst bumps and keeps on flying even in its lower wind range.
And this of course makes it so much fun! Going with the flow, get some footwork in there to compensate for the wind fluctuations and generally fly with that big grin all over your face. Who could ask for more?!
