Well, the wind was there, in HEAPS!
According to the local weather stations, the wind was averaging 15m/sec (34mph) and the gusts up to 18m/sec (40mph). So any kite flying experience would be an arm-stretching one. But hey, that’s fun, right?!
So I headed down to the Sjøbadet beach, almost in the middle of town – and man, the weather stations were right. The winds definitely hit 15m/sec and I surely was in for a workout. I needed loads of venting and I picked the one with the most mesh panels, the good old triple vented green kite. Would it work? Or should I have opted for even more vent?
Well, the kite was up to it. Flying in its upper wind range, and probably a bit above, it was really fun!
Of course, I have had better quality sessions earlier, but some rock and roll music pumping into my ears, put me in the right mood for the ballistic winds and I had tons of fun!
…until the small mishap! Just watch the video below to the end! ?
