The sun was setting and the shadows grew long. Every now and then the clouds covered the sun and changed the light completely. Nice! I had to do some KAV experimenting.

So I fixed the flying line to the ground and walked over to the rig and sat it up for the occasion; camera pointing straight down.

Then i put everything up into the air again and walked over to these boats I would like to capture on video.

First i flew the rig pretty close to the ground, let’s say just five, six meters over the boats. I had connected the GoPro to my phone so I could see what was going on and it looked pretty cool!

Then i decided to fly the rig a little higher and sent it all up to … well … about twenty meters off the ground. Still things looked really cool.

All the boats down there made for a quite unique pattern when seen from above. Here are a handful of photos from my little experiment.
