I haven’t been to Denmark since the NKM 2019 back in June that year. NKM 2021 was cancelled as was the NKM 2021. No! Wait! It wasn’t cancelled, it was postponed and the new dates were set to August 31st to September 5th which coincidences with the Rømø Kite Festival arranged by the Danish Kite Association.

So as the butterflies started to fill up my inside I was preparing for the festival weeks ahead. Going through all of the kiites, looking for wear and tear and generally giv’em all a decent dose of some TLC.

On Monday (Aug. 30th) I packed all the stuff into the back of my car…

…and on Tuesday, at 18:30 sharp, I steered the car out onto the street heading for Anders’ place in Gothenburg and the adventure was on!

And WOW, What a blast it was! We had five absolutely gorgeous days on the beach, flying kites and having a great time together!

You better make sure to stay tuned, ’cause I’ve got a bunch of cool stuff from the NKM coming up very soon!

So if you didn’t make it there this year, this will be second best and why not make a note in your calendar right now… The dates for the NKM 2022 are May 30th to June 5th. Don’t miss out! ??
