After I had done some experimenting with faking drone shots, I wanted to do some more KAP stuff. The sun was slowly but surely on its way down towards the horizon, the light started to get a hint of that golden light and the shadows grew longer.
I decided to tilt my camera downward, fly it quite low and capture all those cool details down on the ground where the land meets the water. You know, sandbanks, stones and rocks, seaweed, beach, vegetation…. When filmed from above, all these things reveal other details than when you just look at them from your normal point of view.
I connect my phone to the GoPro camera so I’m getting an idea of what the shots will look like, but you never really know until you get home and get to watch it on a larger screen and in a better resolution.
…and the footage came out really, really nice!
