So with a couple of hours left of daylight, I decided to do some Kite Aerial Videography at one of those frozen lakes. Hopefully shooting some decent video of both the lake and its surroundings from up above.
So I threw my KAV gear into the car and hit the road.
It was supposed to be sunny, but the clouds drifted in and made for a somewhat dismal looking greyish day, but I gave it a go anyway.
So I launched my 1.80m fluorescent Rokkaku and made it raise well above the nearby trees and found some pretty decent and not too unstable wind. Then I attached the KAP rig with the GoPro camera, connected it to my phone and hoisted the lot higher up into the air.
I forgot my gloves at home and it became a quite cold experience, but I did manage to get some nice shots from way up there!
When I returned to the car I found that one of the tires had gone flat … but that’s another story!
