Like I mentioned in one of my posts about my QLK fascinations, you don’t actually need a field to go flying. All you need is a kite, some wind and a short set of lines. Yeah, and just a little space for your kite!
You don’t need that large, grassy field or an endless beach. No, you can actually fly your QLK in a forest! …or at your local gas station! or – just like I did yesterday, down on the pier!
This location is far from that grassy field or the endless beach. It’s a small pier with a nice boardwalk, just fifty meters or so away from the ferries across the fjord. And when the wind is coming in from the south – onshore – this is a great place to fly your QLK on 10m (30ft) lines with plenty of objects to play with.
Here’s what I’m talking about!
