Very hot, mercury tipping +30°C in the shade made it perfect for beach bums. So all my fave flying fields were occupied by sun- and seabathing people. I had to opt for the local football field. Not a bad spot when the wind is right despite surrounding trees making the wind somewhat interesting.
Anyway… Hot under the cap and first kite out was the old Prism Eclipse. Definitely different and all the years hidden away in the bag had set it’s toll. The connectors were brittle and unfortunately one of them broke after fifteen minutes or so flying.
New kite… The Cosmic TC UL. The wind was pretty much on its lower range but compensating by moving on the field made the difference. Somewhat bumpy but flyable if paying attention to the fluctuations in the wind.
I pulled off quite a good bunch of tricks, but concentrated mostly on the Taz Machine making them rather consistently in both directions. Cool!
The wind continued to drop an for the last minutes I flew the Ghost. However, I found it too hot to keep on running on the field so after a couple of tiring 360’ies I called it a day.
A few pictures from today…
