…I tried to squeeze in a couple of hours of quality flying before it all started!
A pretty warm day up here in my Neck of the woods, +26C and a warm wind coming in from the east. And that is probably the most difficult wind direction to fly in my area on the east side of the Oslo fjord. But I had one location in mind that could be flyable in such conditions, and that’s where I was heading!
Teibern Beach was as good as I could hope for. The warm, eastern wind came directly onto the beach and even on the lighter side I decided to go for my double vented Yellow QLK. Despite being low, the wind was super smooth and catered for some serious quality flying. And with the clouds building up I had this great, dramatic backdrop.
There still were no warnings on my Thunderstorm App so I regarded it safe to fly and up she went … while the camera was rolling capturing a nice pile of footage.
I spent a couple of hours on the beach and had a great time before I decided to pack it all up before the sky opened.
