As tradition has it, we wrapped things up with a big bang at the Blokhus Wind Festival, hosted by the local tourist office. And let’s just say… wind + kites + festival vibes = perfect combo.
The Blokhus Wind Festival is a crowd magnet — and for good reason! It’s packed with stuff for everyone, whether you’re a hardcore kite nerd or just there for the candy drops (yes, that’s a thing!).
There were kite workshops, a kite shop, cuddly toys parachuting from the sky, and of course the always exciting candy dropping sessions for the little ones. Honestly, we saw just as many grown-ups smiling as kids. No shame in loving parachuting teddy bears, right?
The festival grounds were buzzing — with dedicated areas for the audience to fly their own kites, a field filled with single-line beauties and crazy-shaped line junk, a sport kite field, and of course our home turf — the AERIALIS Team Flyers performance field.
We’ve been training all week leading up to this. And yeah, we were pumped to show off what we’d been working on. Every hour, for 15 to 20 minutes, we hit the sky with tight formations, synchronized moves, and some seriously windy wizardry. When the festival speaker introduced us, the crowd came running (okay, maybe walking quickly with ice cream in hand — but still).
For two awesome days, we took to the sky again and again — and man, did we have fun. Big thanks to everyone who came by, cheered us on, or just looked up with a smile on their face.
Didn’t catch it live? No worries — we’ve got you covered!
