What more can you ask for? A great day for kite flying. The temperature just around +20C, sunny and a wind that was slowly picking up. Let’s go hit the beach and play with the wind and the water!
From the video above you can get a glimpse of what the average pilot can do with a REV Exp on the beach, playing with wind and water.
In the Water
I find it really cool to “fly” the kite in the water. It works like a charm. Just like flying in super slo-mo with loads of pressure in the sail and tight lines. When the water is deep enough you can actually do submerged spins. However in this video it’s not deep enough to do the spins. However, cool flying above, at the surface and into the water nevertheless!

Catch and Throw
Another cool “move” is the Catch and Throw. The initiation of the catch, a sharp tug on both upper lines, makes the kite down towards you. Some kites dive better than others. This REV Exp does a nice dive angled – mostly – straight towards you making it easy to catch.
Making sure the lines are not tangled up in the kite, on the ground or whatever, throw it away from you down wind, and take up flying again when the lines get tight.
